DOA Policy
All orders are covered by our 48-hour Dead on Arrival (DOA) protection, subject to the terms below. This page is designed to be clear and simple — please read fully before placing an order.
Coverage Threshold
If total DOA loss is less than 3% of the total order value, compensation will not be provided.
Example
Order total: $1,000
DOA coral value: $20
Loss is under 3% → Not eligible for compensation
Order total: $1,000
DOA coral value: $20
Loss is under 3% → Not eligible for compensation
Compensation & Shipping
DOA compensation is based on coral value only. Shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from any DOA compensation — even if free shipping was offered at checkout.
Example
Order total: $1,200 (free shipping promotion applied)
Actual shipping cost: $150
Total order arrives DOA
Maximum compensation = $1,050 store credit
Order total: $1,200 (free shipping promotion applied)

Ocean King Corals cannot absorb both the full coral value and shipping cost on any order.
Compensation Terms
- DOA claims must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery
- Compensation is issued as store credit only
- Replacements are provided when available and shipped with the next order
- Single-item replacement shipments will not be sent separately
Actions That Void Coverage
Important: Any of the following actions will immediately void DOA coverage for the affected coral(s).
- Cutting or re-fragging corals
- Removing, altering, or detaching the original base or plug
- Any form of coral dipping or chemical treatment
- Stress caused by dipping, fragging, handling, or aggressive acclimation
Once a coral has been altered or stressed, DOA coverage will be voided.
