Company Policy

All orders are covered by our 48-hour Dead on Arrival (DOA) protection, subject to the terms below. This page is designed to be clear and simple — please read fully before placing an order.

Coverage Threshold

If total DOA loss is less than 3% of the total order value, compensation will not be provided.

DOA coral value: $20
Loss is under 3% → Not eligible for compensation
Order Cancellation Policy

All coral sales are final . Due to the live nature of our livestock, orders cannot be returned or exchanged once confirmed.
If a customer requests to cancel a confirmed order, a 15% restocking fee will apply..

An order will also be considered cancelled by the customer under any of the following circumstances:

  • The customer requests to cancel the order after purchase.
  • For Special order which payment is not received within 36 hours, order will be cancelled automatically.
  • Shipping payment is not received within two (2) weeks after the order is ready for shipment.
  • The order remains on hold for more than two (2) weeks due to the customer's delay, lack of communication, or failure to arrange shipping.

Because all corals are reserved specifically for each customer, holding unpaid or unshipped orders prevents those corals from being made available to other customers. The 15% restocking fee helps cover inventory reservation, labor, handling, and administrative costs.
Ocean King Corals reserves the right to cancel the order and release the reserved livestock back into inventory if any of the above conditions are met.

Final Sale Policy
  • Due to the live nature of our livestock, all sales are final.
  • Ocean King Corals does not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds for live corals once an order has been confirmed or shipped, except as provided under our DOA Policy.
  • Customers are responsible for reviewing their orders carefully before completing their purchase. Once an order is confirmed, it may not be returned or exchanged.
  • Ocean King Corals reserves the right to refuse any return or exchange request that does not qualify under our DOA Policy
High-Value Shipment

For combined orders totaling over $2,500 USD, Ocean King Corals strongly recommends Cargo Shipping to minimize transit time and reduce shipping-related risks.

To help offset the additional cost of Cargo Shipping, we will typically include complimentary corals (freebies) with qualifying shipments whenever possible.

Customers may still choose FedEx or UPS at their own discretion. However, if Cargo Shipping is declined for combined orders over $2,500 USD, Ocean King Corals will cover up to 50% of confirmed DOA or shipping delay-related losses.

All other terms of our standard DOA Policy remain in effect.

Compensation & Shipping

DOA compensation is based on coral value only. Shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from any DOA compensation — even if free shipping was offered at checkout.

Order total: $1,200 (free shipping promotion applied)
Actual shipping cost: $150
Total order arrives DOA
Maximum compensation = $1,050 store credit
Ocean King Corals cannot absorb both the full coral value and shipping cost on any order.
Compensation Terms
  • DOA claims must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery
  • Compensation is issued as store credit only
  • Replacements are provided when available and shipped with the next order
  • Single-item replacement shipments will not be sent separately
Actions That Void Coverage
Important: Any of the following actions will immediately void DOA coverage for the affected coral(s).
  • Cutting or re-fragging corals
  • Removing, altering, or detaching the original base or plug
  • Any form of coral dipping or chemical treatment
  • Stress caused by dipping, fragging, handling, or aggressive acclimation
Once a coral has been altered or stressed, DOA coverage will be voided.
Store Credit
Usage Restriction

DOA store credit is not eligible to count toward any minimum purchase requirement. Customers must meet all minimum order thresholds using standard payment methods before applying store credit.

Store credit may only be applied after the required minimum purchase amount has been met.
